Scott Sandell holds a B.F.A. from the University of Minesota. He received the "Best in Show" award in the exhibition at the Hudson River Museum in 1987. His work can be found in many national and international collections, such as: Morgan Stangely, The Chrysler Museum, Detroit, MI; Deutsche Bank, Walker Art Center, Emory University, Atlanta GA and Mano Golf Club, Tokyo Japan. Scott Sandell's work is derived from Japanese banners blending East and West ethetics in series of original collaged monotypes. He uses Japanese and European papers. He enhances silk-screened images with geometric lines and brush strokes in brilliant color as well as gold an silver inks.
